One of the upcoming installments in the spy world created by renowned Indian company Yash Raj Productions, “War 2,” will be directed by Ayan Mukerji.
One of the major Bollywood blockbusters of 2022 was Mukerji’s previous superhero movie for Disney, “Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva,” which was based on an Indian mythology. His first film was the coming-of-age drama “Wake Up Sid” (2009), and his second was the romantic comedy “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (2013).
The spy franchise was started by film maker Aditya Chopra and starred Salman Khan as well as Katrina Kaif in “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). It continued with “War” (2019), which starred Hrithik Roshan as well as Tiger Shroff. The biggest Indian hit of the year thus far is “Pathaan,” the most recent installment in the universe featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham.
The following spy movie, “Tiger 3,” is scheduled to be released in November during the Diwali celebration holiday period. The movie “Tiger vs. Pathaan,” which is scheduled to begin production in January 2024, will star Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan.
Roshan plays renegade RAW officer Kabir Dhaliwal in “War,” and Shroff plays Khalid Rahmani, Dhaliwal’s protégé. Shah Rukh Khan portrays exiled RAW spy Pathaan in “Pathaan,” while Padukone portrays ISI officer Rubina Mohsin.
Officer Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), he made his film debut in “War” and is anticipated to return in “Tiger 3,” also makes an extended cameo appearance in “Pathaan” and appears in the movie with Tiger.
