One of cricket’s most inspiring and potential icons, Muttiah Muralitharan, has never shied away from inspiring people with his unmatched sportsmanship abilities.
On April 17, the great cricketer’s birthday, Movie Train Motion Pictures released the biopic of the versatile cricketer, titled “800.”
Muttiah Muralitharan, the film’s title character, is portrayed by well-known actor Madhur Mittal, and Madhimalar is played by Mahima Nambiyar. The movie’s director, MS Sripathy, previously worked with Tamil director Venkat Prabhu and made his debut as a director with the 2010 movie “Kanimozhi.” ‘800’ marks his return to directing.
The movie has finished filming, and locations include Cochin, England, Sri Lanka, Chennai, and Australia. In addition to Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English, the movie will be released.
Vivek Rangachari and Movie Train Motion Pictures are the producers of the movie.
Cinematography is done by renowned RD Rajasekar ISC, MS Sripathy has written the script as well as he will be directing the film. Famous music director Ghibran will see the music department.
Madhur Mittal, Vela Ramamurty, Riythvika, Mahima Nambiyar, Hari Krishnan, Yog Japyee, Narain, Nasser, Vadivukkarasi, Arul Doss, and Sharath Lohitashwa are among the talented cast members.
His biopic will be a rollercoaster ride because Muttiah as been most successful bowler in the world with so many ups and downs. Controversy surrounding Muralitharan’s bowling motion plagued his international career. His bowling action was criticised on several occasions by umpires and several members of the cricket community due to an odd excessive extension of his automatically bent arm during delivery. Muralitharan’s action was approved by the ICC (International Cricket Council) in 1996 and again in 1999 following biomechanical testing in a replica playing environment.
For a record-breaking 1,711 days over 214 Test matches, Muralitharan was ranked as the best Test bowler by the International Cricket Council. Fans are really excited for the movie based on his life and cricketing career.
