Sudipto Sen is preparing to lead a new movie after filming The Kerala Story, which is now enjoying a tremendous run at the box office. The upcoming film, Saharasri, bases itself on the life of financial magnate and Sahara India Pariwar founder Subrata Roy.

Producers Sandeep Singh as well as Dr. Jayantilal Gada have teamed up with filmmaker Sudipto Sen for Saharasri to commemorate Subrata Roy’s 75th birthday on June 10. The biopic tells the fascinating story of how business tycoon Subrata Roy went from being a largely unknown figure to being the most dynamic and prominent person in India, who was well-known throughout the entire nation. The biography of Subrata Roy reads as a Sidney Sheldon book.
The director claimed that no filmmaker has ever found it simple to make a biopic. A biopic is usually a difficult project for any director. It’s quite significant to have Sandeep Singh, AR Rahman, Gulzar, and Dr. Jayantilal Gada collaborate on a movie.
