The launch date of Rajshri’s 60th movie, “Uunchai,” which was helmed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, was revealed today, and the announcement was made exclusively on the company’s social media sites. The movie “Uunchai” is scheduled to launch on November 11, 2022, honouring the legendary production house’s 75th anniversary and its diamond jubilee year.
The movie “Uunchai” will have an experienced star cast in a never-before-seen lineup. With Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Sarika, and Parineeti Chopra, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, and Danny Denzongpa playing key parts, “Uunchai” is the latest film by seasoned filmmaker Sooraj R. Barjatya.
For this ambitious production, Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media have teamed up with Kamal Kumar Barjatya, the late Rajkumar Barjatya, and Ajit Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri as producers.
The main filming for “Uunchai” was completed early this year. Numerous scenes for the movie were filmed in Nepal, Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Lucknow, and Kanpur. Sooraj R. Barjatya, the filmmaker, is making his long-awaited comeback to the big screen. “Uunchai” guarantees to be a full-fledged family entertainment, much like all of Rajshri’s movies, carrying the tradition of pure amusement forward.
While announcing the movie, the filmmaker posted a picture and penned, “The biggest news of our diamond anniversary year!” Uunchai will be released in theatres on November 11th. An ensemble that has never been seen before appears on screen in a Sooraj R. Barjatya movie. Uunchai is produced by Rajshri Productions in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media. It stars the shining stars of Indian cinema: Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Parineeti Chopra, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, and Danny Denzongpa.
Some of the iconic Bollywood blockbusters, like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and Vivah, among others, retain a particular place in Indian cinema as the creations of Sooraj Barjatya. “Uunchai” appears to have the potential to add to Barjatya’s illustrious filmography.
