Hathi Mere Sathi was all set to release on 26th March this year. On Tuesday, the makers of the movie announced that the release of the Hindi version of trilingual adventure drama has been postponed. This development came because of the alarming rise in coronavirus cases.

The movie’s title in Hindi is Haathi Mere Saathi. In Tamil the movie has been named Kaadan and in Telugu it is named Aranya. The hindi version has been put on hold but the Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie will be released as scheduled.

The official statement by the makers read, “We have gone through some turbulent times since the past year and the situation hasn’t changed much. While we thought everything was getting back to normalcy, the sudden rise in Covid cases are worrisome. Given the current situation, Eros International has decided to hold back the release of their upcoming release, Haathi Mere Saathi, the Hindi version from the trilingual adventure drama starring Rana Daggubati, Pulkit Samrat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain.”

It further added, “However, Eros Motion Pictures will be releasing Aranya and Kaadan, the Telugu and Tamil versions respectively.”

Haathi Mere Sathi is a story of love towards animals and nature. The movie is inspired by unfortunate event of humans encroaching the elephant corridors in Kaziranga, Assam.

The new release date will be out soon.
