Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has been roped in for the upcoming mythological action film, The Immortal Ashwatthama. She will be seen opposite actor Vicky Kaushal in the movie.

On 11th January, Uri fame Vicky Kaushal released the poster of his forthcoming sci-fi superhero flick The Immortal Ashwatthama. The fans got excited after getting the confirmation that Vicky will be playing the lead role in the movie. Since then rumours were there that actress Sara Ali Khan will be featuring opposite Vicky.

On Thursday, a report from Peeping Moon revealed that Sara Ali Khan has been signed to play the main lead in the movie opposite Vicky. The actress will be seen performing some high-octane action scenes in the movie.

So far, Sara has mostly worked in romcom movies. The actress has begun training for her role in the movie as it s said to be a challenging one. Not much has been revealed about her role but the fans will surely witness her doing a few stunts.

The Immortal Ashwatthama touted as a superhero action film will be set in modern times. The movie is being planned as a trilogy. It will mark yet another collaboration of Vicky and his Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar along with producer Ronnie Screwvala. The makers have described the film as a high-concept visual spectacle.

Vicky will be essaying the character who was inspired by the warrior Ashwatthama of the Pandavas-Kauravas war in the Mahabharata. He was already working on his form for the action-based superhero film movie. He has been sweating it out in the gym to get in shape for his role. Vicky had been constantly updating his fans by sharing pictures and videos of him doing activities like horse riding and archery.

The Uri actor considers the movie as one the most awaited projects. Vicky is excited to be a part of it.

Details of the role played by Sara have been kept under the wraps. Sara is just four films old and so far she has done romance and comedy films. This will be the first time that the actress will be seen in action on the screen.
