Now, the makers have locked another star for the lead role. A source said, “Aditya Roy Kapur has been locked in to play the hero now. It’s an action-packed film which will have in double roles. This will also be Aditya’s first double role ever. When Sid opted out, they were on the lookout for a good-looking hero who’s fantastic with action. Apart from Adi, Mrunal remains part of the cast.”

The source further said that “When Aditya was approached for Thadam, he met the team and loved the script. He loved the duality of the characters. He has given them dates to begin the film sometime this year, after he wraps work on Om”.

Sidharth Malhotra has made his debut from the movie ‘Student of the year’ that also starred Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

He will also be seen in the movie ‘Mission Majnu’ that is being directed by Shantanu Bagchi and also stars Rashmika Mandana. He also has ‘Shershaa’ that is being directed by Vishnuvardhan and stars Kiara Advani.

Aditya Roy Kapur was seen in the film ‘Sadak 2’ that was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and was the sequel of the 1991 film Sadak. He was also seen in the film ‘Malang’ that was directed by Mohit Suri. Aditya shared the screen with Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Khemur.

Aditya is all set to return on the big screen with an action film titled ‘Om: The Battle Within’. The film is being directed by Kapil Verma and written by Niket Pandey and Akshat R Saluja. Aditya will share the screen with Sanjana Sanghi.
