Actress Taapsee Pannu has donated platelets to an elderly woman who was unknown to her and Tillotama Shome has praised her.

Tillotama took to Twitter and wrote, “I have never worked or hung out with @taapsee but I was aware of how hard working she is!! I was however, unaware of how incredibly humane she is. Going beyond an RT to actually offering to donate her platelets. You are gold!! I wish you my best and admire your strength.”

She added, “My friends grandma needed platelets and she offered to donate even though she does not know me or my friend, that’s not humane? Anyway. Wishes for your good health, nothing is more precious.”

Tillotama who is a known face of OTT platform was last seen in the film ‘Sir’ that was released on Netflix. She was also a part of ‘Angrezi Medium’ that starred Irrfan Khan and ‘Mentalhood’ that starred Karishma Kapoor.

Taapsee Pannu is currently working on the biopic of Indian cricketer Mithali Raj titled ‘Shabaash Mithu’ that is directed by Rahul Dholakia and written by Priya Aven. Sharing the image, Taapsee stands at a cricket pitch donning gloves and a helmet. She captioned the picture as: “Smile on Spirits high Pitch set #ShabaashMithu.”

Taapsee was last seen in the film ‘Thappad’ and she has Looop Lapeta, Haseen Dillruba and Rashmi Rocket lined up this year. She will also be seen in the film Dobaaraa.

IT Department raids Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, others in tax evasion  probe

Taapsee was in news as Anurag Kashyap and her property was raided by the Income Tax department.

The Income Tax department said, “During the search, evidence of huge supression of income by the leading film production (Kashyap’s venture) house compared to the actual box office collections has been unearthed. The company officials have not been able to explain the discrepancy of around Rs 300 crore.
