Sukhee : Three decades have passed since Shilpa Shetty made her remarkable debut in the 1993 romance film Baazigar directed by Abbas-Mustan. The actor’s upcoming film will feature her in her first title role in a long time. Shilpa plays a disobedient housewife in the Sukhee movie, and the trailer debuted on Wednesday.
A slice-of-life movie called Sukhee’s trailer opens with Shilpa discussing how she lives with an employed husband, a school-age son, as well as a sick father figure, and her daily routine consists solely of household chores.
Until she discovers an internet invitation to her high school reunion, she carries on with her daily tasks in autopilot mode. Sukhee chooses to take the train to the capital even though her husband doesn’t “permit” her to go to Delhi for the “aiyashi,” departing her husband to have trouble in the kitchen alone.
Sukhee does have mother’s guilt, but her school friends forbid her from going down that path. When she hears some males remark that every movie about women’s liberation has the same plot, she changes from kurtis to red gowns, indulges in excessive drinking with her girlfriends, and uses foul language to her heart’s delight.
“The film is a lighthearted, slice-of-life tale of Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi homemaker who goes to Delhi to go to her school reunion,” according to the movie’s synopsis. Sukhee relives her teenage years while experiencing a variety of things over the course of just seven days, emerging reignited, reborn, and undergoing the hardest shift of her life—going from being a wife and mother to become a woman once more. This movie asks you to re-connect with yourself since Bedhadak, Besharam, Beparwah, and Sukhee are concealed within every woman. Shilpa Shetty has been one of the most beautiful actress in the industry.
