Actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her versatile roles, is set to soar to new heights in her upcoming film “Tejas,” where she portrays the lead role of Air Force Pilot Tejas Gill. Commemorating Gandhi Jayanti, the film’s creators not only unveiled its teaser but also disclosed the release date, scheduled for October 27.
“Tejas” delves into the remarkable journey of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot, with the aim of inspiring and instilling a profound sense of pride in every Indian. It showcases the relentless dedication of Indian Air Force pilots who tirelessly defend the nation while facing numerous challenges. It’s worth noting that in 2016, the Indian Air Force initiated a program to induct female fighter pilots, which was subsequently made permanent in 2022. Initially, only three women fighter pilots were part of the inaugural batch, but their numbers steadily grew. By 2022, there were 16 women pilots operating fighter jets like Rafale, Su30 MKI, and MiG 21 Bison.
The teaser for “Tejas” brims with patriotic fervor and promises an action-packed adventure. It features memorable dialogues like, “Bharat ko chhedoge to chhodenge nahin” (If you provoke India, it won’t back down). The full trailer is set to be released on October 8.
In addition to “Tejas,” Kangana Ranaut will also be seen in “Emergency,” where she takes on the role of Indira Gandhi. The film sheds light on one of the darkest periods in Indian politics, during which the former Prime Minister imposed a state of Emergency in the country, leading to the curtailment of several civil rights and the arrest of political opponents, among other things. Kangana has not only acted in but also produced and directed this compelling film.
