Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is all set to debut on OTT platform with the official Hindi adaptation of Luther titled Rudra-The Edge Of Darkness. Ajay will play the titular role of a cop in the upcoming series.
On Tuesday morning, Ajay Devgn and Film critic Taran Adarsh made the official announcement of the upcoming crime-drama series Rudra-The Edge Of Darkness on their social media handles. The web show will mark Ajay’s entry into the digital space as the show will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
Ajay shared a motion poster of the series and tweeted, “Happy to announce the crime thriller of the year Hotstar Specials ‘Rudra – The Edge Of Darkness’. This one’s going to be killer”

Rudra-The Edge Of Darkness is a remake of the superhit British crime drama show Luther starring Idris Elba. The show will release on Disney+ Hotstar VIP and is touted to be an engaging and dark new take on cop stories by the makers. The production will begin soon across iconic locales of Mumbai.
Talking about the show, Ajay said, “My attempt has always been to tell unique stories and work with good talent. The idea is to raise the bar of entertainment in India. The Hotstar Specials is being produced by Applause Entertainment and BBC Studios India. The President & Head, Disney+ Hotstar, Sunil Rayan said the series is being mounted on an enormous scale. It is a testament to the streamer”s passion for creating “compelling, disruptive” content.
