On Monday, actor Akshay Kumar revealed that he has been hospitalised as he had tested positive for Covid-19. He had earlier urged all those who came in contact with him to get themselves tested.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar announced on Sunday that he had contracted the viral disease. On Monday, he took to Twitter and updated his fans about his health. Kumar reassured his fans and well-wishers that he is ‘doing fine’.
While sharing that he has been hospitalised, he wrote, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working, I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.”

Akshay announced on Sunday that he has tested positive for corona and wrote on twitter, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon.”
Prior to his positive report, Khiladi Kumar was busy shooting for his upcoming movie Ram Setu with actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. On Monday, reports confirmed that 45 crew members who joined the film’s sets have tested positive. The shoot of the film has now been stopped.
The National award-winning actor will be seen in many other upcoming projects like, Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi re and Bell Bottom.
Amid the second wave of the pandemic, the Good Newwz actor is the latest Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the virus. Recently, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Paresh Rawal, Kartik Aaryan, Rohit Saraf, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Govinda among many others also tested positive.
