Actress Alia Bhatt has tested positive for coronavirus. On Thursday, she shared the news through an Instagram story.
She wrote, “Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”
Last month, Ranbir Kapoor who is Alia`s boyfriend tested positive for covid-19. He is now totally fine and has tested negative for the virus.
During Ranbir Kapoor’s quarantine period, Alia in a post wrote, “Major missing.”
At this time, she also took the corona test but she tested negative at that time. “I’ve been reading all your messages of concern and careI have tested negative for Covid-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same,” Alia had posted on March 11.
Even the director of Alia`s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had tested positive for coronavirus. He has now tested negative for the virus and has fully recovered.
Alia`s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will be released on July 30. She will also be seen in ‘RRR’ that also stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Ajay Devgn. The other film lined up for her is ‘Brahmastra’ that is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
Alia will also star in Karan Johar’s big budget historical drama ‘Takht’. The film will be based on the Mughal era and is a story on the story of two brothers, Darashikoh and Aurangzeb.
Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor are also set to star alongside Alia in the movie. The movie was announced in 2018 but has not yet released.
In recent times, Paresh Rawal, Kartik Aaryan, and Rohit Saraf have tested positive for Covid-19. Earlier, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, among many others were infected with the virus.
