On Monday, Taapsee Pannu started shooting for her upcoming time travel thriller, Dobaaraa. The movie marks the second collaboration of actor Taapsee and director Anurag Kashyap.
The actor director duo of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap began the shoot of their forthcoming project, Dobaaraa on Monday. The duo has previously worked together in 2018 film Manmarziyaan, which was totally different from Kashyap’s dark and brooding cinema.
Once again, the prolific director is ready to work on a project which he has never attempted before. He is working on a new age thriller film, Dobaaraa. Few days back he released the teaser and confirmed that he had roped in actress Taapsee Pannu for his movie. The actress will be playing the role of a character who is caught in a time travel situation.
Taapsee took to social media and tweeted, “My #DobaaraaSeries. Coz some collaborations deserve to be repeated. Ready to create more memories because we were running out of Manmarziyaan stories to tell…@anuragkashyap10 let’s do this #Dobaaraa.”

Few days back, the Pink actress talked about the film and said, “This is going to be one of its kind thriller. This is going to be unique more so because it’s got someone like Anurag directing it and Ekta backing it. It’s my second collaboration with Anurag after Manmarziyaan and Sunir (of ATHENA) after badla so I know there are expectations riding on this.”
Director Anurag also threw some light on the movie and said, “Our vision with Dobaaraa is to bring a fresh, new story to the audience and I am very excited for it. This will be my third collaboration with Taapsee and this time the attempt is to bring an interesting new take on thrillers.”
On 12th February, Taapsee and Anurag both shared the announcement video of the upcoming sci fi.
Taapsee wrote, “Time. Space. Universe. 2021 will make you question everything. Filming begins soon! @anuragkashyap time to add some lights and colour to your frame again, let’s do it #DOBAARAA.”
