The makers of Satyameva Jayate 2 starring bollywood actor John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar have decided to delay their Eid 2021. The announcement was made keeping in mind the deadly second wave of the coronavirus in the country.
On Tuesday, Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment announced that the release date of their forthcoming movie Satyameva Jayate 2 has been postponed due to the increasing number of the Covid-19 cases in India.
Emmay Entertainment released an official statement on social media which read, “In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our countrymen & patrons. Our film “Satyameva Jayate 2” will now release on a later date. Till then let’s keep our masks on and do our best to keep our loved ones and ourselves out of harm’s way. Jai Hind.”

Satyameva Jayate 2 is a sequel to the 2018 film. The movie which marks the return of Divya Khosla Kumar to the movies also stars Gautami Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa, Sahil Vaid, Anup Soni among others
Satyameva Jayate 2 has been helmed by Milap Zaveri and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar’s T-Series along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment.
Last year, the action film was one of the first films to go on floors after the Maharashtra government allowed conditional resumption of film shoots. The movie was slated to release on 13th May, along with Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. While, Satyameva Jayate 2 has been postponed, Salman’s Radhe will now have a hybrid release. It will release in theatres and on ZEE5 with ZEE’s pay-per-view service ZEEPlex.
At the time of John’s Mumbai Saga, John had said that he is a big-screen hero and would not take the route of OTT platforms.
