Comedian Kapil Sharma’s close friend Chandan Prabhakar has successfully grabbed a role in Rajiv Dhingra’s upcoming project. This role will mark Chandan’s Bollywood debut.
The Kapil Sharma Show’s Chandu aka Chandan Prabhakar will soon collaborate with director Rajiv Dhingra in Dhingra’s forthcoming project titled, Hotel Pyasa. The movie will feature Chandan as the lead antagonist. Hotel Pyasa is being produced by Rajiv, Nitin Keni, Naveen Chandra and Shanti Bhushan Roy.
In 2017, Rajiv Dhingra directed the movie Firangi starring Kapil Sharma. In the historical drama, Kapil essayed the role of a man who wants to become a cop, but is not able to do so. According to latest update director Rajiv Dhingra have confirmed that he is set to come out with another project and this time he has finalized Kapil’s co-star and best friend Chandan Prabhakar in the project.
Chandan will appear in the lead role in Rajiv’s next film. Rajiv asserted and said, “Chandan will play the comic villain in this film and Binnu Dhillon will appear in the lead role in the film. Chandan will play the role of a water mafia, who is accompanied by a group of goons all the time. He too wanted to play a unique character for a long time and he liked it very much. We will be shooting the film soon.”
Rajiv revealed that the three of them (Kapil Rajiv and Chandan) are friends from 9th class.
Rajiv said, “We are from the same city and the same school. Kapil and I were in 9a, while Chandan was in 9b. After this we were together in the same college and did theater together. Later also joined The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. So we have always been part of a group. The title of this film is being described as ‘Hotel Pyaasa’.”
Kapil and Chandan’s, The Kapil Sharma Show is currently on a break. It is expected to return to the small screen after a few months.
