Earlier Facebook had disabled 1 billion fake accounts in 2020. Now, Instagram is rolling out more safeguards for its users, to ensure their safety and convenience. On the other hand Twitter continues to update its reporting process. But fake profiles still rule social media and the hearts of millions of fans.
Actor Karan Deol, son of Sunny Deol is the latest victim of a fake social media account. He has warned his followers about a fake Twitter profile in his name. The “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas” actor took to his verified Instagram account to upload a screenshot of the fake Twitter handle, which shows a display picture of him and his actor-politician father Sunny Deol.
Karan deol wrote “Hi Guys, it has come to my attention that the above Twitter account is being used in my name to spread hateful information and is causing serious social disharmony. I would like to once again clarify that this is not me and I do not have a Twitter account.“ He has also requested his fans to report the fake Twitter page.
30 years old actor wants to continue his family’s legacy and star in action films. In an interview earlier, he said, “I love action, so I would love to do a lot of action movies. But I would also love to do an animated voiceover. I would love to do comedy and would also love to play a villain. Any script or character that excites me and touches my heart, I would love to do it. I feel for an actor, it is important to step out of your comfort zone because that is the only time you actually grow.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, the talented actor will next be seen in ‘’Apne 2’’ where he will star alongside his father, grandfather Dharmendra and uncle Bobby Deol. The film is being directed by Anil Sharma, who had also helmed the 2007 hit, ‘’Apne’’.
