Yesterday, Late Sridevi’s book launch event was held in Mumbai. In the event many dignitaries were present including Director and Producer Karan Johar. Karan was there to unveiled Sridevi’s book.
This book was penned down by Author Satyarth Nayak. He is the author of best-selling book The Emperor’s Riddles. He wrote this book to celebrate the life of the timeless actress. He gave this book name “The Eternal Screen Goddess “.
During the event, Karan Johar and Satyarth Nayak talked about Sridevi’s impact in their life. In the event, Karan said he grew up watching her movies and was madly in love with the actress.He recalled Sridevi’s presence being one reason that fulled his passion for Hindi cinema while others his age at the time didn’t feel the same.
He also revealed that he is glad that he did not get a chance to direct her. He told that he was his life long fan and he lost the objectivity for her which he believed a director should have while directing a movie.
He also shared an incident when his father’s produced movie Mukkadar ka Faisla and Mr. India was released on same date and Karan decided to watch Mr. India on the opening day. Due to this,his father got very upset.
Sridevi was passed away last year in February.She was best known for films like Sadma, Mr India, Lamhe, English Vinglish, Mom and more. The book Sridevi – The External Screen Goodess was also released in Delhi by Deepika Padukone.
