Bollywood Actress Parineeti Chopra will be soon sharing screen space with actor Varun Dhawan. Chopra has been roped in for the lead role of opposite Dhawan in Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming masala flick, Sanki. The actress is in talks with Nadiadwala.
Parineeti Chopra and Varun Dhawan were last seen together on the big screen in the song ‘Jaaneman Aah’ from 2016 movie Dishoom. The duo has been friends from past many years but still they haven’t featured in a full-fledged film together. According to a latest update, the duo will be soon seen working together in Sajid Nadiadwala’s forthcoming movie Sanki.
A source revealed, “Parineeti is being under consideration by Sajid Nadiadwala for the lead role in Sanki. The makers want to lock Pari opposite Varun. This will also be a fresh pairing for the masses because they have never done a film together before. While there have been verbal discussions as of now, the contract is yet to be locked.”
Interestingly, Dishoom was also a Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment production. Parineeti as Muskan was the love interest of Varun in Dishoom. Though the idea was to introduce her character in the trio of the movie, but it did not materialise. So, she featured only in a song with Varun.
Sanki on the other hand will be a full fledged movie, in which the duo will be seen as a couple.
The movie is expected to be a remake but the details of the projects have been kept under the wraps. The source said, “The action thriller is apparently a remake again, but nobody knows which film is being remade now. All that is out is Varun will be playing the lead role in the suspense drama.”
Parineeti was last seen in Netlfix’s ‘The girl on the train’. Her upcoming movie ‘Saina’ based on the life of badminton ace Saina Nehwal is all set to release on March 26. Chopra also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal in her kitty. She will star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.
