TV star Parth Samthaan will soon venture into bollywood and star opposite bollywood actress Alia Bhatt in a project which is currently under pre production. The actor confirmed the news in an interview with an entertainment portal.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2′ fame Parth Samthaan has revealed that he is all set to begin his Bollywood innings with a film headlined by Alia Bhatt. The actor is quite excited for his debut and will start the shooting of the movie from this year.
In an interview with Spotboye, Parth said, “It is true and I will be shooting for it this year itself. And really very excited for it and keeping my fingers crossed. The film is under pre-production right now. You know how it is for an outsider to come and everything should fall in place. Be it the director, music director everything should be nice. You get that one big opportunity and you really don’t want to miss that out so I want to give my hundred percent towards it and I want to make sure that everything works out well.”
He further added, “I am hoping for the best. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 everything is getting pushed. So things are a little delayed here also.”
Earlier, there were rumours that Parth will be starring opposite Alia in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. However, there are no official statements about it yet. Some reports suggested that Parth signed Alia Bhatt starrer Resul Pookutty’s Piharwa, which reportedly revolves around the story of Baba Harbhajan Singh, martyred during the Sino-Indian war.
Parth won hearts with his character as Manik in MTV college romance Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan in 2014. He entered the digital space with the third installment of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan in 2018.
The Tv star became a bigger name after he was seen playing the role of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s 2018 remake of the popular romantic drama Kasautii Zindagii Kay alongside Erica Fernandes.
Coming to Parth’s upcoming show, Main Hero Boll Raha Hu has been made under the banners of Ekta Kapoor’s ALTBalaji. The actor will essay the role of an underworld don in the show which also features starring Arslan Goni and Patralekhaa. The show will begin streaming from April 20.
