Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has been signing movies back to back. The actor has finished shooting for 60 percent of his upcoming movie Mission Majnu and has already started shooting for Thank God. His war saga Shershaah which is a biopic on martyr Vikram Batra is also set to release online. Apart from all this, Sidharth has the DJ remake in his kitty. According to latest updates, the actor has bagged another huge Dharma film.
A source revealed, “Sidharth has signed a big action film with Karan again. It’s a romantic film with a lot of action and he wants to explore the action genre since it’s worked for him in the past. The story has all the elements similar to Ek Villain, which is also his highest grossing solo film till date. When Karan was planning to put this project together, he immediately offered it to Sidharth who liked it. Karan’s banner will just be producing it whereas a new director might helm it.”
The new action movie starring Sidharth will most probably go on floors after the actor is done with both Mission Majnu and Thank God. The release has been slated for 2022.
Just a day ago, news surfaced that Sidharth’s war drama ‘Shershah’ which was scheduled to release on 2nd of July will now head towards OTT. The movie was not released according to the plan due to the second wave of the pandemic. Hence the makers abandoned the plans of a theatrical release and decided to release the film on Amazon Prime Video.
‘Shershah’ is based on the life of Kargil war hero Cpt Vikram Batra who was awarded Paramveer Chakra posthumously for his heroic deeds. Siddharth will be seen playing dual role in film as both Captain Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra.
Sidharth’s Mission Majnu is also the bollywood debut of South actress Rashmika Mandanna whereas the movie Thank God stars Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn.
