83 will release on OTT platform
83, one of the most eagerly anticipated films of 2021, finally premiered on December 24 after a long delay. While the picture had been completed for some time, the pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus caused the cinema release to be postponed. Due to the partial lockdown in several areas and the closure of theatres in major cities, the Ranveer Singh-starrer is currently experiencing a drop in ticket sales. If more restrictions are enforced, director Kabir Khan has stated that 83 will be released on the OTT platform.
On Day 7 (January 3), according to reports, the total box office collection was Rs 115.17 crore. Because the ongoing pandemic is causing this big-budget picture to struggle, Kabir Khan has stated that 83 will be released on OTT if necessary. He said in an interview that they don’t know if they’ll have to shut down tomorrow, or if they’ll be given another five to six days. The team will deliver this movie on the OTT platform as soon as possible if there will be more limitations imposed. But he is adamant that folks take precautions and go to theaters to watch the movie.
The director went on to explain why he wanted 83 to be launched in theatres. He said that they finished this film 18 months ago. Because it was intended that way, the whole team wanted people to view it on a big screen. But, alas, these are the times they live in. They worked hard to find a secure location for the film, yet there was a surge in cases on the day of its debut. By the fourth day, all the theatres in Delhi had shut down.
Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, and Pankaj Tripathi are the actors that appear in this film. On December 24, the picture was released in theatres in 3D.
