On January 16, 2022, the fifth season of Bigg Boss Tamil came to an end. Raju Jeyamohan, a contestant, won the reality show, which was hosted by Kamal Haasan.
He stated that he will host Bigg Boss Ultimate, which will air exclusively on Disney+Hotstar, during the season’s closing episode. Bigg Boss Ultimate is the inaugural edition of Bigg Boss Tamil’s OTT version, and it will be Kamal’s digital debut. On January 30, the new episode will launch on Disney+Hotstar.
Bigg Boss Ultimate will allow viewers to witness all of the housemates’ actions 24 hours a day, seven days a week on Disney+Hotstar. The public could see the housemates’ activities reduced into a 90-minute episode in TV style.

Kamal stated he is “very excited” in a statement “on Disney+ Hotstar to host the first OTT edition of Big Boss Ultimate. “The new arrangement is currently available 24 hours every day, seven days per week to additionally connect with and interest you. I am certain that you will find this new experience to be both refreshing and invigorating. It’s fascinating,” he replied.
The first OTT version of Bigg Boss Tamil, according to the show’s creators, would feature some of the most famous and well-known participants from previous seasons. They argue that the show will give them a second shot to win the coveted crown by impressing the public. During the debut episode of Bigg Boss Ultimate on January 30, Kamal Haasan will reveal the names of the competitors.
Bigg Boss Tamil 5 ended on January 16, 2022, after 106 episodes. There were 20 candidates on the reality show, including two wildcard entry. Raju Jeyamohan was crowned the season’s champion. He received a prestigious trophy as well as a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
