A special court under the (NDPS) Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 on Wednesday revoked his son Aryan’s bail release in the cruise ship CBI raid case and instructed the additional sessions registry to restore his passport. This came as a big relief to Bollywood Badash Shah Rukh Khan.
“Respondents (the Narcotics Control Bureau) following inquiry lodged a complaint against 14 out of 20 people, as presented on behalf of both parties. As no substantial evidence came to light during the inquiry, it is true that no complaints were brought against six people, including the petitioner. Special NDPS judge VV Patil revoked the bail bond and released the surety, actress Juhi Chawla.
The high court’s judgement on 28th October last year, which prompted Aryan Khan being allowed bail, expected him to present his visa, which the court likewise directed its registry to give him back.
The NCB on Wednesday certified that it had no objections to Khan’s June 30 petition asking for the termination of his bail bond, release of the surety, and restoration of his passport, leading to the passing of the decision.
In response to the plea, the NCB submitted a document stating that “no allegation (charge-sheet) was lodged against 6 individuals (taken into custody in the cruise ship case), along with the current applicant (Aryan), as no verifiable evidence popped up during the investigative process which could link up the said 6 individuals to the present case. The petitioner is not under investigation and is not an alleged party in the particular case.
On May 27, (SIT), a special investigation team of the NCB gave a clean chit to Aryan Khan in the narcotics case. He was one of several individuals who were detained during a spectacular raid on a vacation cruise ship in Maharashtra, Mumbai on October 2 of last year, which was headed by Sameer Wankhede (controversial and current zonal director).
Despite the NCB’s failure to discover any drugs from Aryan Khan, the organisation first said that the 6 gram of hashish that were allegedly discovered with the 24-year-old Arbaaz Merchant (Good friend of Aryan Khan) were also intended for consumption by Khan. Additionally, Wankhede and his colleagues asserted that Aryan Khan was a participant in a bigger international drug plot by citing the actor’s child’s WhatsApp conversations.
