Netizens are reacting left, right, and centre because Bigg Boss 16 participant and ‘Me Too’ accuser Sajid Khan. They have stated that they want Sajid Khan to be “Removed” from the show and that he shouldn’t really be provided a forum to improve his reputation in a latest craze. Even famous people opposed to the involvement of the filmmaker, including Sona Mohapatra and Urfi Javed, have spoken out. On top of everything else, Mandana Karimi, who had accused Sajid of sexual assault, has announced her departure from the Bollywood industry. Sajid, the director of Heyy Babyy, Housefull, and Humshakals, has been the subject of Internet chitchat since the popular Colors celebrity reality show premiered on October 1. Some have suggested that Sajid is using Bigg Boss as a platform to clean up his tarnished reputation. Following the #MeToo movement in 2018, nine women allegedly filed sexual misconduct claims against Sajid.
The most well-liked contestant from Season 13 Shehnaaz Gill, sent a video message as host Salman invited Sajid on stage during the Bigg Boss opening episode. Shehnaaz supported Sajid in the video and referred to him as her “brother.” Sajid responded by saying Sehnaaz as “younger sister”. Sajid disclosed during the pilot episode that he had not produced anything for the previous two years and wished to reestablish contact with his audience. Celebrity and supermodel Uorfi Javed responded to this in a sequence of Instagram Stories by criticising the TV network for “promoting sexual predators” in order to bring “controversy” to the broadcast. She also slammed Shehnaaz and TV star Kashmera Shah for standing behind Sajid, who had caused numerous ladies to break down in tears.
Well whether these accusations will really have effect on presence of Sajid and will he still continue to be the part of the show? The answer to this lies with the makers itself.
