Bheed, an upcoming film featuring Rajkummar Rao & Bhumi Pednekar, will be released on March 24. Director Hansal Mehta shared his review of the movie on Twitter. The sufferings of migrant labourers in India during COVID-19 shutdown in 2020 are the focus of the Anubhav Sinha-directed movie, which contrasts the situation with the partition of the nation in 1947. Hansal Mehta praised the movie and the actors’ work, describing it as “one of the finest ensembles since Maqbool.”
The National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta published the movie’s poster along with his succinct critique. Which he posted on Twitter “Tomorrow, see #Bheed in theatres. In addition to being a significant historical document, this movie has one of the strongest ensemble casts since Maqbool and is dramatic and compelling. In his performance of a conflicted “in-charge,” @RajkummarRao excels. He is at the peak of his game, @anubhavsinha.” Hansal Mehta further wrote in the remarks, “The cast assembled by @CastingChhabra, which includes Virubhai (Veerendra Saxena), Ashutosh Rana, Pankajji (Pankaj Kapur), Aditya Shrivastava, Bhumi, is excellent. Aditi Subedi is particularly heartbreaking. Don’t overlook # Bheed.”
The official trailer for the Bheed was unveiled earlier this month, which significantly increased interest in it. The trailer was then taken down and re-released after removing a remark by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as a sentence that alluded to the Partition, drawing mixed reactions. In an interview, Anubhav had stated, “Of obviously, these modifications are visible.
Bheed, which was primarily filmed in Lucknow, is an Anubhav production from Benaras Mediaworks. Moreover, Dia Mirza, Virendra Saxena, Aditya Srivastava, and Karan Pandit appear in Bheed.
