Kunal Kemmu, who has made a name for himself as a talented performer, will soon don the director’s cap. He has already finished filming “Madgaon Express,” which will mark his feature film directorial debut. Excel Entertainment, a joint venture between Farhan Akhtar as well as Ritesh Sidhwani, will produce the film.
It’s a Film wrap!, Kunal wrote in a post announcing the movie. Kunal thanked his team in a letter “And last but not least, my incredible crew, who have stood by my side and assisted me in realising every facet of my filmmaking vision. I’m very excited to reveal this one to you all soon!”
In August 2022, Kunal made his directing debut announcement. He noted: “Happy New Year, Moriya! I can’t think of a more appropriate day to discuss this with all of you because everything good starts with his name.”
Said he, “My first idea developed into a dream, which I then wrote down on my laptop with the help of my fingertips. At this point, the dream is turning into a reality and is headed for the big screen. A big thank you to @ritesh sid @faroutakhtar and @roo cha at @excelmovies for supporting me on this thrilling filmmaking adventure and believing in my screenplay and my vision.”
Pratik Gandhi, Divyendu Sharma, Nora Fatehi, and Avinash Tiwary play the key characters in Madgaon Express. The movie has not yet been given a release date.

In the 1987 Ved Rahi-produced Doordarshan television programme Gul Gulshan Gulfaam, Kunal made his acting debut as a little child. With Mahesh Bhatt’s film Sir, he made his acting debut (1993). He later went on to appear in films like Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Bhai, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Dushman as a child actor.
In the Mohit Suri-directed film Kalyug from 2005, he portrayed the male lead. Based on the pornographic industry, Kalyug was created. In Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal, which was released in 2007, he made his acting debut.
