Jogi, the much anticipated venture of Diljit Dosanjh finally had it’s trailer unveiled. The trailer establishes the Delhi setting as the 1984 riots approach. A Punjabi man from a close-knit community who leads a relatively quiet life until situations place him in the midst of the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 is at the centre of the story. The execution of the then-prime minister, Indira Gandhi, who was killed by her two Sikh bodyguards, set off the actual event, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Sikhs. The trailer has a monologue encouraging Dosanjh’s character to depart and take his family to Punjab from the nation’s capital. But he decides to stick around and battle with his loved ones, displaying a passionate and valiant personality.It should be widely known, which is why the OTT platform release of the movie is essential. because the topic hasn’t yet been fully addressed in the digital realm. Well for those who are unversed Diljit Dosanjh will be seen without Turban for the first time in this movie.
Stating further on the movie Diljit cited ” My birth year was 1984 as well. I was exposed to accounts of actual events surrounding the riots when I was a child. The topic is therefore very important to me, and Ali Sir chose the correct story.”Diljit Dosanjh also revealed that he had made a Punjabi film titled Punjabi 1984 which had bagged National Film Award while having conversation. The actor from Udta Punjab makes his online debut with this movie. The trailer looks enormous and appealing. It’s something which audience should watch and should know.
