Senior bollywood actor Gulshan Grover’s son Sanjay is all set to enter Bollywood. Sanjay will be producing the recently announced web series on controversial cult leader Osho Rajneesh’s first aide Ma Yoga Laxmi. Gulshan expressed his happiness over his son’s debut project.
Few days back, Netflix released its documentary on Ma Anand Sheela, titled, Searching for Sheela. Now another project has been announced on her life which will be produced by veteran actor Gulshan Grover’s son Sanjay.
Gulshan Grover opened up in an interview and talked about his son’s debut in bollywood. He said, “I cannot describe how happy I am. I cannot describe how proud I am feeling. My son is on the threshold of making a mega web series.” (The Times Of India)
Gulshan said, “Atul Anand of Osho World Foundation was my classmate. He had sent us Rashid Maxwell’s book The Only Life: Osho, Laxmi And A Journey Of The Heart, which fascinated Rahul and Sanjay both. They gel well with each other. Soon, Rahul bought the rights of the book.”
Gulshan’s son Sanjay was earlier based in California and has now decided to return and settle in Indian. Gulshan told in the interview that his son was working in MGM studios in California and amid covid-19, he had sort of emotionally blackmail his son to return. The actor said that his son keeps him updated about international cinema and he sees him making some very big projects in future.
Sanjay will be co-producing the show with Rahul Mittra, who is known for producing the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Franchise. Rahul has acquired the rights of Maxwell’s bestselling book, The Only Life: Osho, Laxmi and a Journey of the Heart.
Rahul said, “Ma Laxmi’s story is what I want to tell and what the world needs to know. I want people to know that for Ma Laxmi, Osho was her only life. Even when her own protege Sheela usurped her position, Laxmi’s devotion to her master was total and absolute.”
Apart from Sanjay and Rahul Mittra, the Osho World Foundation and Jar Pictures will jointly produce the show which will be helmed by Ranjan Chandel.
