A six-part Netflix drama ‘Bombay Begam’ starring Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand has released on Netflix.
The show is based on the story of four women who are indulged in a corporate world. It shows what problems women have to face and how difficult it is for them to stand in the corporate field.

Rani Irani (Pooja Bhatt) has become the CEO of a bank. She came to Bombay from Kanpur without any money in her pocket. She picks Fatima Warsi (Shahana Goswami) for key position. The male board of the bank does not want to see Rani rising and Fatima`s husband wants her to leave the work and raise the child.
The lives of all the five women are inter-connected. Three of them work in the same organisation and the other two are related somehow with the organisation.
In the show many emotions can be witnessed. There is love, motherhood, work-place rivalries, sexual harassment and everyday problems.
Ayesha Agarwal, the third out of five women is a new joining and is very excited to become as successful as Rani. She is from a small-town, she faces difficulty in adjusting there.
Another woman is Lily (Amruta Subhash) who plays the role of a sex-worker and can do anything to get out of poverty.
Shai Irani (Aadhya Anand) is a 13-year-old girl who is Rani`s step-daughter. She is also the narrator of the show.
Rani in the show tries her best to win heart of her step-children Shai and Zuravar. They are still not over the death of their mother.
Fatima is fighting a battle with her husband. He believes that Fatima will leave the job and start working towards motherhood.
Lily wants to get her son into a good school. He is bullied at school for who is mother is.
Ayesha`s problem is that she is in conflict with the society to accept her sexuality.
Rani does not have a good relationship with her husband, both emotionally and physically.
The performances in the show are great as Pooja Bhatt makes a comeback.
