Reportedly, the Mumbai Police on 4th October, Monday, registered an FIR against prominent Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar. The FIR was filed due to his alleged remark on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
According to the latest reports, the complaint was made by a city-based lawyer Santosh Dubey after which an FIR was filed at the Mulund police station. An official from Mulund police station stated that the FIR against the veteran lyricist has been registered under Indian Penal Code Section 500 (Punishment for defamation).
Earlier, Santos Dubey had sent a legal notice to Javed Akhtar for allegedly badmouthing and making defamatory remarks against the RSS without any proof and has also demanded an apology over it.
Javed Akhtar in one of his recent interviews had made some false remarks about RSS.
